You've got to start somewhere!

A while back I heard some one say, "these days, there's a lot of motion, a lot of business. But it's like a rocking chair. Always moving, never progressing". I liked that, too much business not enough action.

So I took some action.

Making the decision to start empower was a bit of a scary thought - a business owner, an entrepreneur - whoa easy tiger! But man did it just feel like one of those must do things. Starting up this amazing firecracker idea felt right. I knew I wanted to help people, to work with people, to see change in the world. And what a better way to do it than as your own boss too! It definitely took some angst and many a night of brainstorming and idea hunting but eventually a business plan, a concept and a logo were born.

Flash forward and here we are, blog post one on a blog on the empower website! Never have I much been a blog reader or writer. But I felt this would be a pretty nice way to document the journey. Nothing to official or serious. A way to let people get to know me a little more, and a way for me to look back on all of these moments when I'm a little further down the line.

So if you're reading this one, thanks for joining me! I'm hoping to share some highs, likely some lows. Some helpful advice (hopefully), and a few fun steps along the way.
