Service Description

Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) aids and supports the lymph nodes in the removal of toxins and excess fluid in the body. The session begins with stimulation of the lymph nodes through light, compressive pressure. This is followed by long, gentle, sweeping strokes towards each of these node locations to aid in moving excess fluid to the nodes so the body can more easily expel waste. This treatment is full body, with a slight focus into the face, chest and stomach as these areas hold larger lymph node clusters. This treatment can be beneficial to reduce inflammation, bloating, general feelings of fluid retention, or to assist in swelling reduction and fluid movement after injury or surgery.
